IMPACT Sunday – What IMPACT will you have?

Today, I woke up very tired, eyes swollen from an infection and lower back aches with a quick realization that my weekend was almost over. I came up with several excused not to attend church services…..I’m too tired, I look horrible, I need to pack, I need to rest. But what I needed was to go to church.  I pressed forward knowing that I needed a WORD to make it through the days ahead.

I attended service by Pastor Jermaine Nichols at Greater Works Center, Fort Mill, SC. I continue to be amazed how God can use someone to impact so many lives in just a few powerful WORDS in just a few short minutes. Thank you, Pastor J.

This has been a very difficult time for me, yet I still manage to be excited about life and smile.  I often try to hide my struggles and pain but today I realized that I may be minimizing the impact God had intended for someone else.  I left a company that I loved in hopes of continuing to grow and impact the lives of others. “I” had plans to relocate to another city, 6 ½ hours away to be exact.  However, God had a different plan. A worship service and a weekend trip later, my husband and I decided to purchase a home in a city that is 4 ½ hours from my primary work place. Now months later, I  find myself away from family and friends, commuting 4 ½ hours on Friday and returning on Sunday all while selling one house, building another, learning a new job, building a team and starting my own company all while building my brand. Crazy right? Yes, it is!!

But today, I was reminded that Jesus beared the cross for us, and at the very least I am capable of bearing my cross for a little while. It is very difficult to keep a smile on my face some days but I know that my new city will also open doors for me to impact the lives others.  When you carry a cross, it is not always about you, but the people who are watching.  As my next chapter begins to unfold, I challenge you to keep watching.  God is up to something BIG!!  I can’t wait to publicly share. Remember, it’s not about me but about how Jesus did it all.  My cross is heavy but all I need to do is take a few steps, and God will carry the rest! It’s part of his plan!

Next, time you complain about everything that is going on in your life, remember He carried the cross

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Be blessed,
